Copy an accommodation or reuse its settings

Use an accommodation as the starting point for a new listing, or copy selected settings to a listing you already manage.

Create a new accommodation from an existing one

  1. Open Accommodations and click New accommodation.
  2. Choose Copy an existing accommodation, then select the accommodation you want to use as a starting point.
  3. Give the copy its own name and select the sections you want to copy.
  4. Click Create copy. Review the new listing’s details, such as the address, rates and photos, before making it visible.

The copy starts out hidden and counts towards your accommodation limit straight away. If you have reached your limit, the window explains the options available under your trial or subscription.

Copy settings into an existing accommodation

  1. Under Accommodations, open the listing whose settings you want to change.
  2. Under Status & actions, click Copy settings.
  3. Choose the other accommodation to copy from and select the sections you want to replace.
  4. Read the warning, check the name of the listing you are changing and confirm your selection. Click Copy settings.

The existing data in the selected sections is permanently replaced. This also applies when a selected section is empty in the source accommodation. The other settings are kept. This action cannot be undone.

The listing you change keeps its own name and visibility. You can use this option even if you have reached your limit, since it does not create another accommodation.

What can you copy?

Choose an accommodation from the same account once Homadu has finished creating it. You can use a hidden accommodation as the source. Both windows offer these sections.

  • Description and languages
  • Rooms, beds and amenities
  • House rules and safety information
  • Rates, booking rules, service charges and payment methods
  • Photos and highlights
  • Address and surroundings
  • Email templates

Both actions exclude bookings, guest details, reviews, calendar connections, blocked dates, licence numbers, and scheduled or sent messages. When copying settings into an existing listing, you can replace its email templates once there are no scheduled booking emails linked to them.

Where do the photos go?

If you copy photos without rooms, Homadu assigns the photos to matching rooms where possible. You can find any unmatched photos under Rooms and photos → General photos. If you replace only the rooms, photos from removed rooms also go there. You can delete them individually from that section.
