Cancellation Policy

Last updated on: 20-05-2026

These cancellation terms apply to the use of Homadu, a service of Digister operating under the name Homadu. In these terms, we explain how cancelling a subscription works, what happens to ongoing payments, and when a website may be taken offline.

General
Homadu offers software that allows users to create and manage their own rental website for accommodations such as holiday homes, B&Bs, apartments, and other stays.

Users can choose between a monthly subscription or a yearly subscription. Payments are processed through Stripe. Depending on the selected payment method, payments can be made via iDEAL, credit card, or SEPA direct debit.

By taking out a subscription, the user agrees to these cancellation terms.

Free Trial Period
Homadu offers a free 14-day trial period. During this trial period, the user can test the system and its functionalities.

No payment details are required for the free trial. Therefore, the trial period will not automatically convert into a paid subscription unless the user actively subscribes.

If the trial period ends without a paid subscription being activated, the website will automatically be taken offline. The website will no longer be publicly visible. The user may still log in and continue exploring the system, but the website will only go live again after a subscription has been activated.

Cancelling During the Free Trial
The user may decide at any time during the free trial period not to continue using Homadu.

Because no payment takes place during the free trial and no payment details are required, there are no costs associated with discontinuing the trial period.

After the trial period ends, the website will automatically be taken offline if no subscription has been activated.

Cancelling a Monthly Subscription
A monthly subscription may be cancelled at any time.

When a user cancels a monthly subscription, the subscription remains active until the end of the already paid subscription period. After that, the subscription will not be renewed.

No refund will be issued for the remaining days of an ongoing monthly period unless legally required or otherwise agreed upon in writing.

After the paid period ends, the website will be taken offline. The user may still be able to log in to view or manage data, but the website will no longer be publicly accessible as long as there is no active subscription.

Cancelling a Yearly Subscription
A yearly subscription may be cancelled at any time.

When a user cancels a yearly subscription, the subscription remains active until the end of the already paid yearly period. After that, the subscription will not be renewed.

No interim refund will be provided for the remaining part of the yearly period unless legally required or otherwise agreed upon in writing.

After the paid yearly period ends, the website will be taken offline unless the user activates a new subscription before that time.

Automatic Renewal
Paid subscriptions are automatically renewed unless the user cancels the subscription before the next renewal date.

Monthly subscriptions renew monthly. Yearly subscriptions renew annually.

The user is responsible for cancelling the subscription in time if they no longer wish to use Homadu.

Payments via Stripe
Payments are processed through Stripe. Homadu itself does not store full credit card or bank account details.

For monthly payments, an automatic recurring payment or direct debit may start after the initial payment through the chosen payment method.

For yearly payments, the full amount is charged in one payment for the selected yearly period.

Failed Payments
If an automatic payment or direct debit fails, Homadu or Stripe may attempt multiple times to process the payment successfully.

As long as the payment has not been successfully completed, access to certain functionalities may be limited or the website may be taken offline.

If payment is not successfully completed after multiple attempts, Homadu may terminate the subscription and take the website offline.

The user remains responsible for any outstanding amounts for the period during which the subscription was active.

Taking the Website Offline
When a subscription ends, is cancelled, or payment fails, Homadu may take the website offline.

This means the website will no longer be publicly accessible to visitors. Depending on the situation, the user may still retain access to the account or administration environment.

Homadu is not responsible for missed bookings, loss of revenue, or any other damages resulting from the website being taken offline after cancellation, termination, or failed payment.

Reactivating After Cancellation
If a user wishes to use Homadu again after cancellation, a new subscription may be activated.

After successful payment, the website may be brought back online provided that the data and settings are still available within the system.

Homadu cannot guarantee that all data will be stored indefinitely after cancellation or prolonged inactivity.

Deletion of Data
After cancellation, the user may request deletion of data where possible and where Homadu is not legally required to retain certain data.

Administrative data, invoices, and payment information may be retained for the legally required retention period.

For more information about the processing and storage of personal data, please refer to the Homadu privacy policy.

No Refunds for Voluntary Cancellation
If the user decides to cancel the subscription voluntarily, this does not entitle the user to a refund of amounts already paid unless legally required or otherwise agreed upon in writing.

This also applies if the user has not used or has only partially used the system during the active subscription period.

Cancellation by Homadu
Homadu may terminate a subscription or restrict access to the service if the user:

  • violates the general terms and conditions;
  • fails to pay outstanding invoices;
  • abuses the platform;
  • provides incorrect or misleading information;
  • harms the operation, security, or reputation of Homadu.

If Homadu terminates the subscription due to a breach or misuse by the user, no refund of already paid amounts will be provided.

Business and Private Users
Homadu may be used by both business and private users. Business users cannot rely on consumer rights intended exclusively for private consumers.

If a private user has a statutory right of withdrawal or other consumer protections, these legal rights remain applicable.
