Changing or deleting an external calendar
Change an import link or export source and understand which events disappear when you delete a calendar.
Edit an existing connection
- Open External calendars for the right accommodation.
- Open the calendar’s actions and choose Edit.
- Change the calendar name, Import URL (ICS) or Source calendars for export.
- Save. A new or changed non-empty import link is queued for synchronisation. Check the status after processing finishes.
Change a link only when you are sure it belongs to the same accommodation. Changing export sources determines what the receiving platform can retrieve through its Homadu link; it does not change the source settings at that provider.
What happens to previous imports?
If a new import fails, previously imported events remain. After a successful import, that source’s availability is updated with the new calendar contents. This prevents a temporarily inaccessible replacement feed from unexpectedly releasing all dates.
Merely clearing the import link does not delete existing imported blocks. Retrieval stops, but previous availability remains. To remove the connection and its imported events, use the delete action.
Delete a connection permanently
Choose Delete for the calendar and confirm. The associated imported events also disappear. Your own bookings, manual blocks and events from other sources remain. Immediately check afterwards that availability is still correct.
If needed, also remove the Homadu import on the external platform’s side. Deleting in Homadu does not remove settings there. Also check the source selections of your other channel exports so you know what information those platforms will receive from now on.
