Choosing the right calendar export: own bookings, full or per channel

Choose which events to send and prevent a platform from receiving its own blocks back.

Three exports with different purposes

  • Export (own bookings only): contains your own website events and manual blocks and options. Imported external sources are absent.
  • Export (full calendar): contains your own events and all imported calendar sources for the accommodation.
  • Export per channel: contains your own events and only the other external source calendars you select for that channel. That channel’s own calendar is not sent back as its own source.

For a connection with several booking platforms, the per-channel export is usually the clearest choice. The full calendar is useful for an overall overview, but returning it to the original source can cause unnecessary loops.

  1. Open External calendars for the accommodation and edit the receiving platform’s calendar.
  2. Check Source calendars for export and select only the other sources that platform should receive.
  3. Save and open Show export URL for that calendar.
  4. Copy this link to the relevant platform’s import settings. Check which old connection may need replacing there.

Check the contents

For Airbnb, for example, select Booking.com and Vrbo as sources. Airbnb then receives those events plus your own Homadu events. For Booking.com, make the reverse choice with Airbnb and, optionally, Vrbo.

A calendar link provides access to availability data. Share it only with the intended provider. The screen has no button to regenerate all export links; ask support for help if a link has been shared unintentionally.
