Viewing synchronisation status and solving calendar problems

Check the latest import, start another attempt and investigate inaccessible or invalid feeds.

Understand the status

Open External calendars for your accommodation. Each calendar shows its latest synchronisation and status. Queued means processing has been requested. Successful means an import was processed. Failed requires checking. Skipped can occur when no import link has been entered.

Homadu normally schedules checks for connected import feeds roughly every fifteen minutes. Actual processing also requires working background processing. The other platform has its own retrieval time for Homadu exports; a successful Homadu import says nothing about processing there.

Investigate a problem step by step

  1. Check that you used the current ICS export link for the right accommodation, without missing characters or extra spaces.
  2. Check with the source provider that the calendar is still available. A deleted feed or a response such as 404 cannot be imported.
  3. Edit the link if needed and save. Otherwise, use Sync now for that calendar to try again.
  4. Refresh the overview after the background task has processed. If the error remains, share the calendar name and time with support through a trusted channel.

Existing availability stays protected

If an import fails, Homadu retains the availability previously imported successfully. An inaccessible feed therefore does not automatically release existing blocks.

An old last-synchronised time can appear alongside an error status. A successful check also need not produce a new event if the source has not changed. Problems can additionally arise from invalid calendar content or unsupported recurrence rules.
