Adding, changing or deleting a block or option
Keep dates free for personal use, maintenance or a temporary arrangement with a guest.
Choose a block or option
Use a block to keep a stay free, for example for maintenance or personal use. Use an option when temporarily holding dates for someone. Both make the relevant overnight stays unavailable for new bookings on your website.
An option is not a complete booking. It does not create guest details, payment or booking emails. An option also has no automatic expiry date. Delete or change it yourself as soon as the arrangement changes, so you do not keep dates occupied unnecessarily.
Record an event
- Choose the accommodation and open Availability.
- Click Add block/option and choose the type.
- Enter start and end dates. The end date must follow the start date. Optionally add a recognisable description.
- Save and check that the intended overnight stays are blocked. A period overlapping an existing event is not saved.
Understand the end date and editing
A block from 10 to 15 June blocks the nights of 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 June. Someone can arrive again on 15 June if the other settings allow it. The end date therefore works as a departure date here.
Use a manual event’s actions to edit or delete it, and confirm deletion. Do not change events belonging to a booking or external calendar as manual blocks. Manage the booking or change the original calendar source.
