Understanding your availability calendar and events
Recognise bookings, manual blocks, options and imported calendar data.
View the overview
The dashboard helps you oversee your accommodations’ availability. Use its accommodation selection to determine which accommodations you view. In the management area for one accommodation, Availability contains the events belonging to that accommodation.
An event’s origin matters. Manage bookings through your own website under Bookings. You create manual blocks or options yourself. An imported event comes from a connected external calendar. Each of these different sources can make a date unavailable.
Investigate an occupied period
- Select the correct accommodation and view the relevant start and end dates.
- Check the event’s type and description to recognise its origin.
- Open your own booking under Bookings. Edit a manual block or option using that event’s actions.
- Does the event come from an external platform? Check that source and the synchronisation status under External calendars.
An empty calendar day is not always bookable
The public booking calendar also considers minimum and maximum stays, arrival and departure days, advance notice and any preparation time. A date without a visible booking may therefore still be unsuitable as an arrival or departure day. When in doubt, check the same selection on your public website.
An imported calendar event is an availability block. It is not a complete Homadu booking with guest details, payment and its own booking emails.
