Connecting Vrbo or another iCal calendar

Connect Vrbo or another provider using a current ICS feed and check the correct direction.

Open the correct property in the Vrbo Owner Dashboard and go to Calendar. Under Settings, choose Availability, then open Calendar sync and Connect calendars. Use Export calendar to copy the link. See the official Vrbo export explanation.

Vrbo recommends using Include tentative bookings only for a private calendar, not for exchange with another booking site. Leave it off for this connection to avoid unwanted return loops.

Set up the exchange

  1. In Homadu, open External calendars for the same accommodation and choose Add calendar.
  2. Enter Vrbo as the name, paste the Vrbo link under Import URL (ICS), check the export sources and save.
  3. Use Show export URL to copy the Homadu link for this calendar.
  4. Open Vrbo’s calendar connections, choose Manage imported calendars and Import a calendar. Paste the Homadu link, give the calendar a name and complete the import.

The official Vrbo import guide also describes the available app steps and restrictions for properties controlled through other management software.

Use another provider

The principle is the same for another provider: obtain its current iCal export link for import into Homadu, and add the desired Homadu export there. Use an HTTPS feed if available. A calendar file downloaded once does not stay updated automatically.

After processing, check the status and a known period. Some feeds use calendar features that Homadu does not support, such as recurrence rules. For persistent problems, contact support and share the source link only through a trusted channel.
