Adding, editing or deleting a period rate
Create a separate price schedule for a season or event and keep the start and end dates clear.
Create a separate period
A period rate lets you differ from the standard rate for a continuous date range. Use it, for example, for summer holidays, Christmas or an event. First set up a useful standard rate: the creation wizard uses it as the starting point.
- Open your accommodation and go to Rates.
- Add a period rate and enter a recognisable name.
- Choose the start and end dates.
- Optionally specify a percentage price adjustment and rounding.
- Save. Then open the new period using Edit to check its prices and booking rules individually.
The last day is included
A period from 24 through 28 December includes 28 December. The night from 28 to 29 December therefore still falls under the period rate. An arrival on 28 December also falls within that period, if the other booking conditions allow it.
Period rates must not overlap. If one period ends on 28 December, start the next on 29 December. Using the same day as one period’s end and another’s start is an overlap.
Change or delete it later
Edit the period through the actions menu in the overview. You can change dates, prices, arrival and departure days and stay rules. The copied settings form a separate schedule: later changes to the standard rate are not automatically copied everywhere again.
After deletion, a new price request for these dates uses the standard rate or another applicable period again. Existing bookings retain their saved price breakdown. Always check a new date selection on your website after a change.
