How is a stay spanning several rate periods calculated?
See how overnight stays, packages and surcharges are divided when a stay encounters different prices.
Each overnight stay has an applicable rate
Homadu determines the rental amount from the overnight stays in the selected stay. The departure day is not a paid overnight stay. A stay from 10 to 20 December consists of ten nights: the nights starting on 10 through 19 December.
The arrival date therefore does not choose one fixed nightly price for the entire stay. After a period boundary, the calculation uses the next period’s prices, or the standard rate if no other period applies.
An example across a period boundary
Suppose 10 through 15 December has a period rate of €100 and the standard nightly price is €80. For arrival on 10 December and departure on 20 December, six nights fall within the period: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 December. The four nights from 16 through 19 December use €80. Without other packages, the rental amount is €600 + €320 = €920.
A line in the price breakdown uses arrival and departure boundaries. The six nights in this example run from 10 to 16 December; this is the same night distribution as 10 through 15 December inclusive.
Packages and additional people
Packages are applied within continuous stretches with the same price schedule. A standard-rate weekly package is not used for a week that partly has a different period rate. A boundary with entirely identical prices does not have to interrupt a matching package.
Included guests and any surcharge for additional people are also determined per night. Check the cost overview and open Show price breakdown for the precise rental calculation. That calculation is saved when booking; later rate changes do not automatically rewrite the booking.
