Setting arrival and departure days
Choose which weekdays guests may arrive and leave, with different rules per period if needed.
Two separate checks
Permitted arrival days are checked on the check-in date. Permitted departure days are checked on the check-out date. Arrival can therefore fall within a special period while the standard setting applies again to departure.
Weekdays are not fixed dates. Setting Monday as the departure day allows a stay to end on a suitable Monday, provided it also meets the minimum and maximum length and actual availability.
Set changeover days
- Open Rates for the right accommodation.
- Edit the standard rate or an existing period.
- Under arrival days, select the weekdays when check-in is allowed.
- Under departure days, select the weekdays when check-out is allowed. Keep at least one day selected in each selection.
- Save and test a complete date combination on the rental website.
Example: Thursday to Monday
For an event, create a period from Thursday through Monday inclusive, choose only Thursday for arrival and only Monday for departure. A new Sunday arrival within that period is then not allowed. Monday must fall within the period for the chosen departure rule to apply there.
These settings do not automatically force every stay that encounters the event to last precisely that weekend. An earlier arrival uses its own arrival rules. Also use minimum and maximum limits to restrict stay length further, and check bookings starting before the event period.
A permitted changeover day does not release an occupied night. Imported reservations, options, your own blocks and preparation time still matter.
