Showing guests the seasonal overview and price breakdown
Let guests view your general rates and clearly explain the rental amount for their selected stay.
Two different overviews
The rate overview gives guests general information about your standard rate and special periods. The price breakdown explains how the rental amount for their specific date selection was calculated. You can make the general overview visible without guests first selecting a stay.
The general overview contains completed prices and conditions, such as minimum and maximum stays, changeover days and included guests. Past periods are not shown as future seasonal options. The overview is available for an active, visible accommodation with a standard rate.
Enable the seasonal overview
- Open Rates for the accommodation.
- Enable the option to show the rate overview.
- Open the public accommodation page and find View rate overview near Availability.
- Check the period boundaries, completed packages and stay rules in the overview that opens.
View the calculation for a selected stay
When a guest selects dates and a travel party, the cost overview shows the rental amount. Using Show price breakdown, the guest can see which overnight stays or packages it includes. A notice about special period rates distinguishes between a stay falling entirely or only partly within special rates.
The rental amount is not always the entire amount payable. Any additional-person surcharges, service charges, selected extras and security deposit are included separately in the cost overview.
The price breakdown is saved for a new booking. You can therefore find that booking’s calculation later in booking management and related communications, even if you have changed your rates in the meantime.
