Setting safety features and explanations
Select your accommodation’s safety characteristics and give guests the necessary explanations in the active languages.
Safety has its own section
Under Safety, record characteristics guests need to assess the property properly. Available safety features are grouped by category. They are separate from general amenities and behaviour rules such as no smoking or quiet hours.
Select the characteristics that actually apply. An explanation should describe specific circumstances so guests understand in advance what they need to consider.
Completing features and explanations
- Open the desired accommodation and choose Safety.
- Review the categories of safety characteristics.
- Enable the applicable facilities or features.
- Enter the requested explanation in the active language fields.
- Click Save and address any messages about missing text.
Required explanations in each language
Some enabled features require a description. Complete it for every active accommodation language. An English explanation alone is not enough when other language fields are also required. Homadu indicates which fields still need attention.
Use practical, specific text. If a characteristic requires extra attention, explain where it is and what guests should know. Review this explanation again when the setup or circumstances change.
Also view the complete guest information
The accommodation page initially shows a summary. Guests can open the full safety information. During a booking request, this information is available again through Good to know. Check both places after saving, in the correct language. If an explanation is missing, first check that the corresponding feature is selected and the text for that language is saved.
