Uploading, ordering and deleting photos

Manage photos for each room and understand when new images are ready for the public gallery.

Choose the correct room first

Photos are stored with a room in the accommodation. This creates a recognisable gallery: guests can see which photos belong to the bedroom, living room or another space. Create the required room first and place its photos there rather than collecting every image in one arbitrary room.

Uploading images

  1. Open Rooms and photos for the correct accommodation.
  2. Open the relevant room and go to its photo section.
  3. Select one or more image files.
  4. Wait for uploading to finish and check any error messages.
  5. Allow time for background processing, then check the gallery.

Each image may be up to 10 MB. Use clear photos with sufficient resolution. An identical file already present in the same room is recognised to prevent accidentally adding it twice.

Ordering and deleting

Use the photo section’s sorting function to set the desired order within the room. Delete outdated, duplicate or irrelevant photos with the corresponding delete action. When deleting, also check your highlights so that the main presentation remains correct.

Removing a photo from the highlight selection is different from deleting it. The photo can remain in the room gallery while you choose another main photo.

Checking new photos

Homadu creates suitable image variants in the background. An upload may therefore not be fully processed immediately. After processing, open the public gallery and also view a photo at full size. Captions follow the room layout, so technical filenames do not become part of the presentation.
