Viewing your rental website and checking a test request

Check your website as a guest would use it, from the accommodation and price breakdown to the request and communication.

Open the website as a guest

Use View website in the sidebar to open the public rental website. Check the accommodation and language you want. The management environment and public website serve different purposes: a saved setting is only properly checked when you also see how it appears to visitors.

Go through a sample stay

  1. Choose available arrival and departure dates that meet your stay rules.
  2. Set the numbers of adults, children, babies and any pets.
  3. Open the cost breakdown and price details. Compare the accommodation price, mandatory charges, included services and deposit with your settings.
  4. Continue to the booking page. Check optional extras, payment methods and Good to know.
  5. Check that house rules, safety information and legal links are easy to reach.

Make a real test request recognisable

If you also want to test request processing, use your own email address and a clearly recognisable name or note, such as Owner test request. After submission, a request appears under Bookings. Open it to view the details, costs and communication.

A submitted test request is a real booking request. Status changes can trigger emails and automatic messages. Use your own contact details and deliberately remove the test afterwards.

Check the result and tidy up

Check whether the request confirmation arrives and whether the message appears in the communication history. Only test acceptance or rejection if you want to check those follow-up steps. Delete a test booking if you do not need to retain it; cancellation and deletion have different consequences. Selecting a payment method does not itself process a guest payment.
