Changing your billing address, business details and VAT number
Update your own subscription details and check whether a new address proposal has actually been saved.
The correct details for your subscription
Your own billing details are under Billing → Billing address. Here you change the business name where applicable, country, address line 1, address line 2, postcode, city and optional VAT number. This is not a guest’s address and does not automatically change your rental website’s address or contact information.
Individuals can use Homadu too. A business name and VAT number are not mandatory for everyone. Only enter details that genuinely belong to the subscription’s customer.
Saving a change
- Open Billing and check the current details under Billing address.
- Carefully change the country, name and address.
- Only enter a VAT number matching the chosen identity and billing country, or leave the field empty if you do not use one.
- Click Save and read any messages beside the fields.
- Check the confirmation before assuming the new details are being used for billing.
If the VAT check does not succeed
An incorrect format or a country that does not match the VAT number is rejected. While a check is pending or temporarily unavailable, Homadu may retain the new proposal without replacing the existing billing details in Stripe. Visible form input is then not the same as successful saving.
Follow the message and save the form again once the check has completed. A background check does not simply apply a new proposed address for you. A correction does not automatically change previously finalised invoices.
Do not remove or change a VAT number just to hide a message. The number is optional, but the genuinely correct billing details determine the tax treatment.
