Automatically asking for a review
Schedule a friendly message after departure and use the correct variable to direct each guest to the review form.
Choose a time after the stay
A review request usually fits shortly after departure, while the experience is still fresh. Create your own automatic email template for the accommodation. Scheduling uses the departure date of accepted bookings so the message follows the actual stay.
Setting up the review request
- Open Email templates for the accommodation.
- Add a new template or use a suitable available example.
- Choose Check-out date as the event.
- For example, choose a 2-day offset and the time 10:00.
- Write the subject and content in the active languages.
- Place {{ review_form_url }} in the content as the link to the form, enable the template and save.
Write a simple request
Thank the guest and ask for an honest review of the stay. For example, use their first name and the accommodation name as variables. Make it clear where they can leave a review. With {{ review_form_url }}, the message receives the link to that accommodation’s form with the booking reference.
View the template preview to check the text. A preview does not send a message itself. To include existing accepted bookings, use replanning deliberately and check the selected dates.
Publishing the submitted review
A guest submission is not immediately visible on your website. Open Reviews for the accommodation, read the submission and make it visible when you want to publish it. A review request does not import ratings from Airbnb, Booking.com or other platforms; it links to your rental website’s own form.
