Using internal notes and guest comments
Keep practical arrangements for your own administration and distinguish them from the guest’s original comment.
Two different types of text
The booking detail page displays Guest’s note and Internal note side by side. The guest note is the text the guest entered when submitting the request. It is shown for information and cannot be edited on this page.
Use an internal note for your own rental administration. Examples include an agreed handover time, practical preparation or the outcome of a telephone conversation. The note is visible within your administration area and is not sent to the guest as a separate message.
Changing an internal note
- Open Bookings and click View beside the correct booking.
- Find Internal note under Booking information.
- Click the edit icon and write or change the note.
- Let Homadu save the change and check the saved display before leaving the page.
For example: ‘Agreed by telephone: key handover on Friday at 18:00.’ Add a date to important follow-up arrangements so you can later see when they were made. A note you clear can be displayed as empty again.
When should you use another section?
Correct an incorrect telephone number or address using Edit guest details. Use the official status action to accept, decline or cancel a booking. Merely writing ‘cancelled’ in a note does not change the status or availability.
An internal note is not a guest email or a sending log. Look under Communication to check which messages Homadu actually sent. Keep only the personal information you need for the stay or your administration.
