Viewing sent messages and delivery status for a booking

View recorded guest emails, their content and the available signals about sending and delivery.

Open the booking’s communication

  1. Go to Bookings and open the required request or booking.
  2. Find the Communication section.
  3. Review each message’s date, recipient address, subject and status.
  4. Open the message action to view its recorded content.
  5. Check the recipient address and content if a guest reports a missing email.

The communication history belongs to this booking. Messages about your own Homadu subscription do not appear here: they serve a different purpose and have a different sender context.

What the statuses mean

Queued means sending has not yet taken place. Sending indicates the message is being processed. Sent is a sending signal; additional notifications from the mail provider may update its status. Opened indicates that an opening signal was received.

Bounced, Blocked, Reported as spam and Failed indicate a delivery problem or rejection. First check the guest address and whether the guest can receive messages from your rental website.

A signal is not a read receipt

A sent message is not guaranteed to have been read. Equally, the absence of an opening signal does not mean the guest has read nothing: mail programs can block images and tracking. Use the status as an aid, not as proof that arrangements have been seen.

Checking after a change

After an action such as acceptance or cancellation, communication is updated. The overview also regularly checks for new status information. Allow processing time for recently sent messages. Editing a template later does not change the recorded content of a message already sent; that content shows precisely what was offered at the time.
