Accepting or declining a booking request
Review a request and confirm the stay or decline it using the appropriate status action.
Review the request first
A guest submits a booking request through your website. Open Bookings, choose Requests and click View. Check the accommodation, arrival and departure, travelling party, selected payment method, guest’s note and cost overview.
The request has requested status. Accept booking and Decline booking are only available for this status. Do not confuse the acknowledgement of a request with your final acceptance.
Accepting a request
- Open the correct request and check its booking reference.
- Click Accept booking.
- Check that the status has changed to accepted.
- Look under Communication for the message to the guest and its subsequent delivery status.
After acceptance, Homadu sends confirmation to the guest. The accommodation’s active automated emails can also be scheduled for this accepted booking. The occupied period remains in the availability calendar.
Declining a request
- For a request that has not yet been accepted, click Decline booking.
- Optionally enter a reason and review the confirmation.
- Confirm the decline and check the new status.
The guest automatically receives a decline message. Availability events and future automated emails linked to this booking are removed. The request remains in your overview as a declined booking.
Accepting does not automatically collect payment from the guest. The selected guest payment method and your payment arrangements still apply. If the booking has already been accepted, use cancellation instead of declining.
